I try and keep my cynicism at bay, but it’s difficult when you’re familiar with the exuberant hyperbole bestowed upon the too often mundane: commercial auditions. Look, I’ve made peace with this career sidestreet, and in truth it has been quite good to me of late. So I’m used to the soaring language in describing a Whiskas cat food commercial.
